Frequently Asked Questions

How much are classes?
Classes vary by length of class.  In Studio Drop in classes are $20 for each 1hr class.
Online Pop-Up classes (when available) are $15 for 1 hour or $12 for 45min.
See our Schedule page for details on our current class offerings.

I don't have any dance experience. Can I still learn this?

YES! All of our classes at Wild Garden Bellydance are designed for the beginner in mind. Whether you are looking just for a good workout or you are interested in learning a specific form, all are welcome regardless of your level.

Do I have to pay in advance? Yes. Payment is taken before each class. Currently we are only accepting contactless payments via invoice.
You can try one class for just $15 to see if you like it! (but we know you will!)

What do I wear to class? We recommend something comfortable that you feel free to move in for example yoga pants and a tank top. Most classes will work up a sweat. If you have a scarf for the hips that is wonderful but not required.

What do I wear on my feet? Nothing! Bellydance is generally performed with bare feet. However, socks or any soft soled dance shoe are accepted.

How do I know what class to attend?
New and Beginning students are advised to take a Level 1 or any of our open level classes.

Do we need to bring anything to class? Bottled water and a towel are wonderful.

Can I watch a class first to see if I like it?
We find that the best way to experience a class is to try it. You can take one class with no obligation to stay with us so go ahead and try it! You might just love it!

Do you offer opportunities to perform?
Yes! We have several opportunities throughout the year to perform. We offer choreography classes to our students that have gone through at least our Level I class the chance to learn a choreography and perform in a community setting. We also host several informal Haflas or "parties" throughout the year that is open to performances. Also every spring we put on our Garden Gala and all students are given a chance to perform in a student choreography.

Do I need to enroll in classes?
Yes! However, only for the classes you want to take! Full details can be read on our Schedule page. Have questions? Email Lacey at Laceybellydance@gmail.com
